That would work! However, the TV is not just a TV board, but there is also a bookshelf, which I don’t want to give up - TV + bookshelf are about 2.4 m wide (each 1.2 m) - so the TV would have to go (partly) under the window...

Yes, that's why we also wanted to have it in the living room.

Thanks for the honest words... Honestly, I really wouldn't have thought in advance that such a corner sofa would seem too bulky in that context. I only saw the free space. Thanks also for the many suggestions – it all sounds very good. Less "mass" is actually more. The sofa next to the piano indeed now looks like too much, the whole side is closed off by the (also closely) placed furniture. There are also two seating pieces (stool in front of the piano). Yes, the doily is only on the table because of Christmas... And I also find the flowers too many. And too different.

I play quite often and find that a piano also adds something to a living space. Sure, it would work in a guest room too, but then others wouldn’t have as much of a part in it, which actually goes somewhat against the purpose of making music. You don’t just play for yourself. If space really doesn’t allow it anymore, I could of course put it in another room. But I had planned it that way, so for now it’s standing there.

Wow, thank you very much. I should have had such 3D drawings made during the planning phase; then it might have been clearer what works where and where windows could still have been possible, etc. Well, now we have to live with the circumstances, but very good suggestions. I also quite like option 1; maybe one could put an armchair under the west window?
