Well, 2.5m is quite generous.
Sure, if it's fully occupied, that might be accurate, but with chairs pushed in, it's definitely less.
If you have 75cm distance from the fireplace, that's okay. Then you have a one-meter table, and in everyday life, you still have enough space to walk past it without contortions.
Just today, I set up a new 2x1m table in our approximately 4x4m dining area.
That fits well, you just shouldn't always orient yourself to banquet halls. Don't worry too much, it will be arranged appropriately.
Yes, maybe in the end it's really less than 2.5m.
I once adjusted the floor plan with the fireplace included (including the stone projection).
Keeping distance from the fireplace is already a challenge, but if the table isn't too long, it's possible. Maybe you can also push it closer to the window or something if it's longer, then the exit at that spot just won't exist or will be more difficult.

It's not installed, but already ordered. Leaving it out doesn't help much either, since the island is 1.7m long, the table will take up significantly more space. That means the table always has to be a bit away from the island, otherwise you can't get into the kitchen anymore.I don't see the problem as that dramatic. I would also wait and see how the situation develops. If needed, the piano can also be moved to another room or something. I'll just try out different lengths. It's probably not the usual case either. Of course, when you build a house, you think you can accommodate all crowds of people.
