Don't see it so black, it will be fine. Your mini table definitely fits in there. Maybe a round table is the right solution in the long run. It's a nice little house, you will feel comfortable there.

A chimney-integrated fireplace would probably have been the better choice, like the Schiedel Kingfire. That would have saved the important space next to the table.

Thank you for the kind words. We will find a good solution. We'll have to see on site.

I planned the windows on the west side on the ground floor somewhat smaller in the house design because of neighbors' views. Now I regret that a bit, as it already looks quite asymmetrical on that side due to the wider windows on the upper floor. It probably would have been better to make all the windows on that side the same width. Well, what’s built is built.

Overall, I also find that side a bit "bare" or too much wall on the sides, so I have considered visually "widening" the lower windows somewhat, maybe with trellises on the outside edges and perhaps also between the windows. Do you think that would look good, and is that a long-term problem for an exterior facade with ETICS? There are such long dowels/screws that go through and into the Poroton facade, right? Or do you have other ideas on how to spice up the facade a bit?

Attached is a current photo of the west facade.

Unfortunately, as a "house planner" one is usually overwhelmed with many things because there is really a lot to plan and consider at the beginning. It is also often difficult to imagine and simulate all possible scenarios. Often the ability to visualize how something will look later is not yet developed. And precisely these small details like the width of the sliding door in our case make the difference later in how comfortably you can live in a house. That was also what I had hoped for when I presented my plans here in the forum. To benefit from the experiences of others. The living room is after all the main living area and I find that it is often given too little importance here in the forum. Instead, there is discussion about entrance areas or the layout of the upper floor, which in the end does not matter at all because you spend 99% of your active time in the living room. The planning effort should then also go 99% into that.

Ha, no, no. We value everything. But if you want to place pianos, you have to SAY so! There is nothing about a piano in your opening post, nor is there anything to see. We only found out after the house was already built. So you can keep the blame.
