We also have a bungalow. You can probably still find the floor plan here. What is incredibly important in a bungalow is the hallway. You don't run through the hallway as often in any other type of house as you do in a bungalow. Therefore, give it some space and attention. Ideally, it is somewhat rounded and the rooms branch off in a star shape. One side can be for the living area and the other for the public area. Say goodbye to creating a closed-off living area. That is simply not possible in a compact bungalow without creating dark, narrow corridors. Then also forget about those intermediate doors in the hallways. They will always be open anyway because of the light.

Basically, the bungalow is a house that invites sociability and a certain intimacy. If the bedroom door is open, you can see inside from the front door. That's just how it is and you have to like it. When we have guests, they get an immediate idea of our chaos at first glance. With 2 children and cats, the doors are almost always wide open. Everyone can look into our wardrobe :D It probably won’t be as extreme for you, but you should be aware of it.

Otherwise: give yourselves a bit of space in the open-plan area (living room, dining room, kitchen). You will immediately miss it if you want to add a nice new cabinet someday.

Hello hanghaus,
thank you for the suggestion.
We don’t like the floor plan because the room layout doesn’t work. For example, the bathroom is only accessible from the bedroom, which wouldn’t be suitable for us. Additionally, I can see into the bathroom from the terrace, so I can tell if the toilet is occupied or not :D
The garage is not permissible as shown, because the 3m building boundary must be observed on the plan above. Only boundary development is allowed to the right towards the neighboring property.

I have the next DIY experiment in the pipeline, I will post it later.
Best regards
forrest

So now the new draft. Central tips from you are now taken into account. It is still not easy to get all wishes, requirements ([Grenzabstand], garage, sensible usability of the rooms) under one roof.

I am still not quite satisfied with the two bedrooms. Maybe someone has an idea? One bedroom is the main bedroom, the other is a guest bedroom, which is still used very regularly because a certain gentleman snores :D

Thanks and best regards forrest

We also have a bungalow of 125sqm, your design is way too convoluted and complicated for me, and then the most expensive roof type with a hip roof without proper headroom when fully packed. After a conversation with an architect, we quickly decided on a gable roof.

Do you mean by nested the recess in the entrance area or the arrangement of the rooms inside?

The recess in the entrance area is related to the garage door, since we have a dog, we don't want to bring dirt directly into the house and therefore go into the house through the garage.

We lived for several years in a "quasi" bungalow with a gable roof, but we don't like the look of it. Regarding the point about higher costs for a hip roof, I'm not so sure or it depends on the general contractor/provider. I have read here that the gable roof is more expensive because of more wall area (brickwork etc.), at least one user reported that here.
Just found it:

But he does write that it's just a placeholder?!

So what? You don't have anyone who could be bothered by that! The family situation that allows a direct access from the bathroom to the terrace is a jackpot for some. If you're afraid of your own view or don't know pleated blinds/curtains, then you know it now.

If you google small bungalows at Scanhaus Marlow or Danwood, you will find that at least in width and length almost every design of theirs fits your plot.
Here are two examples from me
