"Can" is not the same as "must." A forum is a public place where questions can be asked, facts can be presented, requests for answers can be made, and - in this case importantly - at requests a story can be told.

Do you go to the priest in church after the sermon and tell him your opinion about it and give him tips for a better sermon just because you theoretically may and can?

Contributions also take place in public spaces and are allowed to do so, which might have been better suited to a non-commentable blog.

I find the discussion strange. We are here in a fairly well-attended forum with a wide range of opinions. One can interpret multiple "repetitions" of the same opinion from different users as a personal attack or bashing. However, I consider this wrong, as it remained quite factual. Rather, one should recognize that a mass of identical feedback is hitting a wall. The mass indicates the extent of the error on the part of the original poster, to somehow get it under control and act correctly.

I only remember the first thread and ask not to forget the history: This concerns a (money-giving) mother-in-law, you already intervened omnipresently in the execution at GU1 without being the builder yourself. This was followed by a rise to self-appointed construction management and a rotation of various service providers. Garnished with a completely unrealistic cost plan, which is still being adhered to today.

Anyone who does not recognize systemic errors there is completely blind.

Nevertheless: Very, very much bad luck definitely also played a role, as well as incompetent service providers. What can be done to avoid such fellows as much as possible (there is no guarantee!) has been mentioned several times. Now another service provider change is imminent and the exact same pattern is being followed: Here comes a recommendation from someone you hardly know (new lawyer) and he knows a company there. Great, I’ll take them!

I have absolutely nothing against an exchange of opinions. But I definitely have something against lectures and attempts at conversion with a wagging finger, some of which even cross the line, as was/is the case here. And why Kati1337 gets so worked up over the fact that I didn’t answer her question, which I very much did answer pages earlier with the information that there is nothing new, I don’t know and it surprises me. There is surely no entitlement to having asked questions answered.

I also find the discussion strange. The title of the thread is: "Fleischerhaus or how it should not run." That should already make clear that this is not a discussion of a perfectly running house construction and is not recommended as a role model. The cost planning is not unrealistic and feasible. Everyone can see that as they wish. The selection of GU2 was a wrong choice, which I now have to contend with, but which can no longer be fixed with advice. I am also not the money-giving mother-in-law, but the mother of both builders and, by power of attorney, the builders' representative. The further construction progress is currently in the hands of the lawyers, so further advice there does not help either. An external project manager has long been involved,

I kept asking again and again in the old and this thread about how things continued. Why? You don’t just turn off a thrilling movie halfway through. It’s exciting and not often experienced "live" in this way, so I’m interested.

Yes, the OP has rough edges, comes across confidently, and reacts somewhat irritably. And yes, that’s certainly not always nice and fair to some discussion partners, should at least try to handle that a little better. And yes, here comes the but. ;)
But: none (I boldly claim now) of those posting here has ever experienced a house-building tragedy of this magnitude, so no one should allow themselves to judge the OP as some do here.
"Never judge a person before you have walked 1000 steps in their shoes."

For the umpteenth time: of course the OP also made mistakes in this dilemma, she surely senses that deep inside, but what exactly went so wrong here that she could do nothing about... we’re talking sums that would bring many to the edge of their financial existence. And then one wonders why "but you should have known that" sentences from know-it-alls (and there were enough of those on the 70 pages here and the xxx pages in the old thread) are answered irritably? I don’t understand that.

Just accept it finally for what it is: an extreme kind of experience report, a warning to some green (future) builders, and an exciting story whose end one can hopefully witness live here. Ask questions, yes. Also critically, yes. But with the knowledge of what the OP has had to endure so far. Then the discussion culture here will improve again and will also respond somewhat "better", I at least believe that ;)

Sure... :)

Not anymore...

No one is judging. And if so, then the cost-benefit situation.

It is probably somewhat distorted here: the OP reports and reacts quite favorably to sympathy and encouragement.
Those who doubt her actions and question this and that get their warning finger pointed.
But not only that: no one uses the words “quarrelsome” or “know-it-all” (at least I haven’t noticed that in the majority, and if a single person said that, there is still the report button for insults), “stupid” I don’t know now, could be... anyway.
That:

comes from the OP directed at the users who mean well but whose opinions she does not like. One could see the thread development so that she is pushing away all who don’t want to dance to her tune here. Bashing? If she does the same with the craftsmen, who supposedly have to work without margin, then somehow everything is understandable. That’s why, for example, my “initial post.”
The butcher already took the bashing in the headline, if you look closely
