Well, not quite yet. The interior stairs are still completely missing. For now, we are making do with construction stairs because the Polish supplier has not delivered despite the down payment. Remarks like "serves you right" can be spared because GU2 commissioned this supplier; we were only allowed to pay. His final deadline for delivery expires on Friday, then the contract will be terminated and new stairs ordered. Everything is already settled. They will go into production immediately and be here in 4 weeks. After 2 roofs and a complete demolition of 480 sqm of double-planked drywall, it doesn't really matter anymore.

Congratulations! I really had my doubts about that.

Can you roughly estimate the total damage?
Do you have a positive outlook on being at least partially compensated?

Exactly. We have already noticed that too. Only the reed roof is missing ;).

For that, I would have to be a clairvoyant with our legal system. Unfortunately, I am not.

We are now at €650,000 total costs. This already includes €40,000 for various previous legal disputes and expert opinions. Also included are the fence (currently being built) with 2 x 4m gates and 2 cisterns including installation. We still need about €50,000 for completion (without terrace and outdoor facilities). So €700,000 for 420 sqm of living space plus 180 sqm basement with underfloor heating and fully tiled + WC, 4 bathrooms with high-end fittings including furnishing and 2 high-quality heat pumps.
I think, despite all the additional costs and adversities, we are still well below the prices currently paid by other builders.
It quickly became clear that the initially quoted completion price of €480,000 was unrealistic. So we can still be satisfied. Also, many additional services are now included that were not part of the €480,000.
