I would like to point out: in civil law matters, the principle of ex officio investigation does not apply, but the principle of submission applies. This means that ONLY the evidence and motions that are correctly submitted are considered by the court. This is the reason why there is a requirement for legal representation starting from the Regional Court. Therefore, I generally advise everyone to also have a lawyer even before the local court.
