The layout is not well done. It looks like they really wanted to have the whole tile on the pre-wall element and ignored the rest. The small strip above the washbasin is also not nice. If they had placed half a tile at the bottom, everything would look neat

I thought that was some kind of protective layer :-) But yes, taste is subjective. The most important thing is that you like it.

I think it was laid so that the casing of the washbasin has a whole tile on top. Either the casing ended up slightly too high, or the tiles are less tall than expected. When I first went to the tile store, I was also quite surprised that most 60x30 tiles are not exactly that size. Always something crooked, often 5mm or more less on each side. By now, I would always recommend having the tiler do the casing as well. Just like suspending the ceiling. A few centimeters lower and the strip on top would be gone, if it cannot be avoided otherwise. But what can you do, you only find these things out afterward.

I have seen the tile somewhere before. It’s a matter of taste. Someone here loves color. The other walls are also not white.

So we like it the way it is.

I think is right - the tile is supposed to form a meadow vertically.

You obviously like strong colors. If you like it, that's okay!
