I did not overlook that. I also said nothing after her first response to my question. I only spoke up when she indeed responded with details to the following post. Responding only to the drama posts and dismissing neutral inquiries is simply actively encouraging drama. You can do that, but to me, that has nothing to do with "surrendering."

I know a well-moderated forum with a comparable user base where this thread would have long been closed for two reasons: 1. Because it is clear that there is "group bashing" against the original poster with many posts that are content-wise irrelevant to the actual topic. 2. Because the original poster is basically (as she herself admits) barely teachable as you suggest. Maybe one of these two points is the reason why the first thread disappeared. This thread should also have been closed long ago because, for the reasons mentioned above, it leads to nothing and only interpersonal bickering remains.

hm, now I would be interested in the legal perspective.... There are craftsmen working on your property who have never formally received an order/authorization from you - because you authorized your general contractor, who apparently did not authorize the companies? Should they now take their mess back and pay damages for the devastation?

I’m already aware of that, but what was the thread originally supposed to lead to? If she doesn’t want to hear advice and lectures, then a thread in a public forum is not a good idea. That’s exactly what it’s for. To publish as a pure sender without responders, one can write a blog or a construction diary. If you open a topic in a public forum and expect nothing but approval and pats on the back... well, then I really don’t know either.

So, I’ve only made it to page 35. There was no bashing like “how stupid can you be” directed at the OP, at least nothing noteworthy so far. There were tips and follow-up questions – the OP’s reactions were bashing towards almost every critical inquiry … And yes, I know what I wrote, for example!

The relevant word is written. The general contractor has already commissioned them, but has not concluded a written contract with binding requirements, to which he himself has committed to the client. One must say that a rare naivety on the part of the general contractor is involved.
