I am asking completely factually, without any criticism of anyone, about a possibly known statistic regarding a problem.
I just want to be able to classify it in the overall context.
And that completely independent of the fates of individual cases(?).

I strongly doubt that this number is in the single digits. It is not without reason that insurers do not offer legal protection insurance for new buildings.

, here you go: The fact that the dream can quickly turn into a nightmare is shown by a statistic from the Institute for Building Research (IFB). According to this, every second new building in single-family and multi-family houses has construction defects. The average damage amount was almost 67,000 euros. Source: Focus It is from 2018, but the trend has certainly not improved.

Yes, as I said, I BELIEVE, but I also don't know better. That's why the question. We won't agree anyway, and the opposing opinions are known. Regarding legal expenses insurance for new buildings, I SUSPECT that 1. it will be very expensive each time and 2. such insurance will also likely create a wrong incentive regarding lawsuits. It simply won't be a good business.

As the study found, about 50% of new buildings have construction defects and with an average of €67,000, we are not talking about small issues. So there are very, very many "fools." Most of them just don’t know it or don’t want to know it.
