I built in BaWü and awarded the trades individually with an external site manager. In hindsight, that was the best decision. We took the craftsmen who have made a name for themselves over the years through good work. Of course, I had to pay well for that. When I think about how I got upset over little things and read your case... I feel a bit ashamed.

I met with the architect yesterday. She was somewhat irritated or rather shocked by what she saw and said she needed to let it sink in first. On Friday, I had written to GU2 that I would now only accept the contract termination since he had let the third deadline pass. I was all the more surprised today when he showed up at the construction site as if nothing had happened. We were just in the process of checking or correcting the ceiling insulation between the upper floor and the attic. What came towards us in the process, words fail me, see photo. This has nothing to do with construction defects anymore. For me, this is property damage and sabotage.

Does the GU comment on the deadlines? Or is he dragging this out even further now?

He completely ignores that. Today I sent his lawyer a comprehensive letter.

GU2 just sits it out for now. Does something at the last minute, waits again, etc. He probably doesn’t have the good will from a few weeks ago anymore.
