Since I am not a clairvoyant, I cannot answer the 2nd question. The public prosecutor's office is investigating GU1 and my lawyer is currently checking for direct liability.

Heat rises upwards and the tub is known to be open at the top. I doubt that more than 5 percent is lost through the other three sides.

What is written here sounds completely illogical to me. Our former heating engineer, who at the time installed the underfloor heating pipes beneath the tub, said that we shouldn’t have parquet flooring in the entire house because the heat wouldn’t come through sufficiently. And you want to tell me here that the heat from the underfloor heating pipes below can come through 1. the screed and tiles, 2. the styrofoam of the tub carrier, and 3. on top of that through the tub itself and warm the room. Well, I believe many things, but not that.

The warming effect will be manageable, but it is not disadvantageous either. The theory of damaged underfloor heating pipes is nonsense anyway. Still exciting is how to find (new) craftsmen. As if the prior history did not exist, there is a tremendous leap of faith in grasping for the next lifeline. This is quite astonishing.

The alternative would be to leave the house as a construction ruin, since no local craftsman will touch it or only with dismantling costs of about €200,000. Then rather the astonishing lifeline.

At least check it better than just following the new lawyer's advice. Proper construction contract, special attention to warranty obligations and price adjustments/variations, have it reviewed externally (NOT by the recommending lawyer),...
