So, I'm checking in again. I've just finished dealing with all the correspondence with lawyers, experts, etc. The house of horrors, I don't even know where to start. So the general contractor took a lawyer at the beginning of January. Since we have meanwhile discovered further massive defects, which were only hinted at in the TÜV report, such as insufficient screed coverage in all 4 bathrooms, underfloor heating under the bathtubs, the plastered walls turning into crumb cake, and the roofing underlay now having to be removed after all, I had agreed with the lawyer to have another expert report prepared. Two days before this appointment, the lawyer informed me that the general contractor had revoked his mandate and wanted to find another lawyer. He now has one, a specialist in criminal and construction law. So, everything starts again, but this time a bit sharper. Since I couldn't deal with him the way I did with the first one, I also had to get a lawyer.
This is what my plastered walls look like, by the way. They should have been primed beforehand!
