Construction progress: Duplex with WU basement and developed attic

I have already tried to explain to you: I have a contract with the general contractor. Everything else is none of my business and I have no influence on whether I like it or not.

Don't you still get the offers forwarded from the general contractor? We are also currently building, and all offers were sent to us by email, we can always exactly track which item costs what. I am of course not familiar with it, after all, it is our first house and the first construction site :)

But since you weren't involved in the allocation anyway, it doesn't matter.

Because it is like that here? I didn’t know it was unusual, how should I have known.

Before the start of construction, we received all the offers, read them through carefully, and partly consulted with the general contractor in case of uncertainties.

That would surprise me greatly. The offers are for the general contractor and thus the price he has to pay the subcontractor. The margin between this price and what he charges you is his fee (not profit). So why would he give you the offers? That would be like asking the baker for the purchase price of the flour.

What I currently don't understand: Who hired a new lawyer? You or the GU?
