I can assure you that I definitely did not intentionally choose the most unprofessional provider. And the architect who gave this completely unrealistic renovation assessment now was certainly not the cheapest either. By the way, the roofer who wrote this admirable note can sell himself rhetorically so well that you think he is the best roofer in the world and the smartest businessman of all time. Being and seeming are indeed two different things. Therefore, be glad if things work out better for you and you don’t get dealing with such wonderful contemporaries.

Don't you still get the offers forwarded from the general contractor? We are also currently building, and all offers were sent to us by email, we can always exactly track which item costs what. I am of course not familiar with it, after all, it is our first house and the first construction site :)
