Was in the tile studio also laid crosswise as a sample wall. Would not like it at all for vertical installation, even because of the shape. Yes, the colors are intense. My daughter is totally thrilled, and after all, she is moving in there. The next room is supposed to be even more extreme. Let's wait and see.

It is definitely a small interim success that in this thread at the moment only the tile taste is being discussed ;-) In this sense: just keep doing what you like, recharge your energy, enjoy!

Well, it's not that simple. The unpleasant things continue, but I spared myself the reporting on them, also to avoid being exposed again to all kinds of criticism from some here in the forum. For example, I have now taken over the complete site management, since company No. 4 also proved its incompetence and has completely overstretched itself both personnel-wise and financially, thus is now also on the verge of bankruptcy. Parallel to the interior construction, we are currently tearing down the two gable ends again, because the supposed bricklayer of this company, a trained tractor driver, did not understand that I want a 36.5 cm masonry and not a hole filled with construction rubble, which is now only held by the exterior plaster.

And after the attic already looked like in photos 1 and 2 in August 2020, it looked like in the following photos until the day before yesterday. And even if no one should understand it, we are glad that we decided on the dismantling including the new roof covering.

And this is how it looks as of today. There are actually still craftsmen who work on Saturdays on their own initiative. I had given up hope.
There was no cake as a thank you, as often advertised here, but goulash soup with bread rolls, cucumber salad, and a radler per man.
And you won’t believe it, I found the company on eBay classifieds.
As a stark contrast, I can bring up my general contractor craftsmen, to whom I once delivered 24!!! large minced meat rolls around 11:00 a.m. on a Friday when it was actually agreed with the managing director that they should work longer (otherwise only until 1:30 p.m. on Fridays, Mon - Thu until 3:30 p.m., arrival at the construction site between 8:00 and 9:00 a.m. - no idea how they come up with their hours). There were only 4 of them that day (but I didn’t know that beforehand). When I came back shortly before 1:00 p.m., the rolls and the craftsmen were gone.

Photos 1 and 2 from last year
Photos 3 and 4 current
Here you can see more reasons why our decision to dismantle was correct.
The wall to the stairwell has no support. The profiles are suspended in the air or screwed onto 2 stacked pieces of drywall, which was already visible in the old condition. But in the end, they somehow concealed this. The expert, for example, did not even see this spot.
In the 2nd photo, the offset of the roof windows can be clearly seen. This has also been changed in the course of the roof re-covering. It was found that the insulation frames had been cut.
