Uppsss... yes, that’s what I meant. How did I come up with bay window? Yes, but that’s exactly what I mean, preferably on both sides.
On both? I won’t say anything about that
I just thought, if a prefab house provider has these captain’s gables in their houses, then "hopefully" they wouldn’t cost too much in solid construction either. If you see it differently, then I’ve gained another experience.
Why should it be a cheap construction method or cost little if a prefab company offers something like that?
Of course it costs: there would be higher carpenter effort, roof covering, interior finishing... I’m guessing about 5/8 thousand per gable
We would also like a canopy over the front door but not made of glass. If a carport is planned, a covered extension would of course also be quite nice. Clad on the outside then with the roof tiles.... could look nice.
And then in combination with the captain’s gable?
A captain’s gable house might look borderline on a hillside plot, a captain’s gable on the hillside side probably just doesn’t look good at all... but now also combined in front with the entrance canopy, with roof tiles mind you... in connection with the carport... the house then really suffers in good looks. Somewhere there will be the small balcony added as well...
I give you the advice: sit on your plot for a day and let it sink in.
And if you google, then please only search for hillside houses!
