Then we met in the middle :-p. Then it stopped just short of the mentioned limit with all inclusive fence, lawn, shrubs.

Kaho then it will probably fit. I am totally ignorant about that. Just asked based on a gut feeling. With 2.2 m raw construction height, most can easily stand up in the end.

@Frank73

I think it is not a disadvantage if the two know each other.
Earthworks are still missing
Depending on the discipline, it can still be below 400,000 euros.

It's just the question of whether I'd rather have more slope of the gable roof and therefore cannot stand at the knee wall, but the room at least reaches 2.40 m height. Or whether I accept a "closet" with 2 m to max 2.20 m ceiling height over almost the entire room. You can stand there, but it's not exactly nice. I had already considered putting the technology in the 2 m rooms upstairs. Then the bedroom would have to go downstairs...

How is it actually with split level if I dig half into the ground (with the 1.40 m limit) and then have a shed roof above? Could I cheat my way into 2 full floors that way?

Fascinating!

The L-blocks would be set on three sides to fence in the property. The builder also said that he would pull another row of L-blocks crosswise under the building to secure it. This way, from the terrace you could go down with a few steps to a second level (the garden), which would then slowly slope downwards in the back (downhill). Therefore, at the very bottom, you wouldn’t need 1.8m or 2m L-blocks, but smaller sizes, which would of course have a significant impact on the price.

The construction service description of the other builder was already quite good, as was commented here. I hope, of course, that he now knows what his competitor offers when preparing the quote.

Town & Country we will no longer visit. So far, I have a good feeling about these two. The better one should get the job...

Yes, it doesn't have to be more than necessary. We're also already considering whether it has to be a DG. Actually, we wanted to settle at a maximum of 350k!

Equivalence ) "With us, you practically get the same thing, everyone knows each other in the industry" is probably one of the most common sales clichés. Therefore, consider carefully before committing forever.

Full story avoidance ) It is not exactly my habilitation topic, but I would never advise creeping up to such a boundary to the exact square centimeter.
