Aha... I won't say anything to that.

You could also raise the standard ceiling height on the ground floor by one row of bricks. That doesn't cost anything :-p

You, Zaba, I am already aware that some will be proven right here. That’s not what it’s about for me, but it even helps us move forward.

You all know our initially calculated limit, yes, naïvely! We won’t stick to it anyway and will join the ranks of everyone else!

I had almost figured that out, since on almost all pages where I found such a 1.5-story house, there was only one captain's gable included. The entrance area without it didn't look nice, though, so we thought it might be possible to have another one integrated.

What else can be done in the entrance area "front door" to make it look nice, stand out a bit, and keep costs manageable?

You and we have long since put that behind us. Let's wait for the offer and the construction service description. Were the prices from the general contractor net or gross? You probably didn’t ask, right?

Why the question?! All my trades have always only given me net prices as a price orientation :-p
