Maybe 2 years ago... Currently, it’s not worth it for anyone who doesn’t have the money lying around like play money... Financing from 4% for photovoltaics at KFW... Low-interest loans could also promote and advance expansion for private individuals
We started building in 2019.
At 1% interest and construction prices 20% cheaper than today.
We invested in photovoltaics + storage. 24k€
We invested in a heat pump 25k€
Back then, we would have installed a gas burner without hesitation for 8k€
Additional insulation for the floor slab and roof structure, where many said (Nobody needs that) 8k€
Total: 50k€
For that, we gave up the basement.
I know enough people who have a basement, no photovoltaics, gas heating, KFW 70...
I always say: “Enjoy your basement. Ideally, you live in the basement, it has cost you 50k€+.”
I turn on my air conditioning in summer and laugh at electricity prices.
I charge my car and laugh at fuel prices.
I have an annual 5000 kWh self-consumption (1900€/a) for free.
I get 600€ annually from the Renewable Energy Act.
300€ THG
I pay no tax on my car
From 2025 I’m waiting for dynamic tariffs and (maybe) can sell my electricity for 30ct/kWh.
It should also be mentioned, I did not pay 60,000€ for my e-car. I bought a car for commuting to work and shopping, etc.
An ideal VW e-UP (17,000€). It will be 30,000 km in 2 years - the BMW 5000 km...
To round it off: Whoever builds in 2023 and can’t afford photovoltaics because of 4% interest and +20% construction costs, I forgive them. The others before... wtf interest at 1% and the 12k€ photovoltaics on the roof were no longer affordable? Come on...
And today that’s just a weak excuse, if you get photovoltaics at net price.
Wait one year? Then wait!
Photovoltaics on the roof, the government will get greener! (Except in the East (AFD) and in Bavaria (CSU))
