High demands, which in my opinion not everyone should have, are a big problem...

Everyone wants to have everything and ideally the ultimate.

Poor school performance and sometimes even beyond that --> people still want to earn money en masse and somehow sneak into jobs like DVAG to make fat cash.

Many profile themselves through material things and consumption and then whine when they can't have EVERYTHING... I've never noticed this problem with previous generations.

This can really be seen in so many different areas... It even goes further that all parents think their child will be the next Albert Einstein.

Countless long examples with the same "topic" or problem in today's society.

To have EVERYTHING but do as little as possible for it.

I will now put forward the provocative thesis that it has to be that way. Prices adjust to the available money. If almost only men work, prices are at a level that is sufficient for single earners. If most women also work and two incomes are the norm, then two incomes are also needed. Otherwise, it is not enough for a middle-class life.

It is not economically correct, since more is also produced. So yes, more coal means more demand, but also more production and therefore basically no price difference (considered in isolation). The problem is that this also brings about declining resource deposits, increasing resource expenditures (due to regulations and technical innovation), and much more.

This is not provocative, but realistic, because women’s wage labor produces something that must also be sold and paid for. If this wage labor did not exist before, there was no price for their services. An example is home care, which today is often carried out for money by professionals, whereas previously it was regulated "voluntarily" within families. The money to pay these professionals has to be earned. And is embedded in all sorts of prices. The possibility of receiving home care is an increase in prosperity that cannot be measured merely by comparisons of purchasing power.
