I notice the following again in the discussion here... It is nice and good when calculations are made here showing how much one can save with a heat pump, photovoltaic system, and electric car, etc., thanks to subsidies, surcharges, etc., and showing that all of this is great. The only thing that can be derived from the current perspective(!), however, is the insight that "to those who have, more will be given" apparently holds true. Because the very, very large majority of the German population cannot simply afford a photovoltaic system with everything included or an electric car. Many never afford a new car at all because it is financially not possible. Currently, the energy transition will not work this way, because it is good that good alternatives to combustion engines and gas heating exist, but it does not really help if people, even if they want to, often simply cannot bear the acquisition costs. Something has to be done somehow, because otherwise, regarding climate change, it will remain a drop on the overheated planet, and the gap between rich and poor will be further widened.

But it was different even 15 years ago. I drove very old clunkers for years, and either they quickly fell apart or failed the TÜV inspection. You couldn’t lose much money on those cars either (if it cost 1500 and you still got 1000 for scrap value), but you get older and eventually dealing with registration gets annoying.
At some point, I bought myself an A1, brand new, and even picked it up myself at the factory with a great experience. I think I paid 18k for it, drove it for over 11 years, never had any issues with it. And as of today, I could probably sell it again for 5-7k. That comes down to a depreciation of about €84 per month. I always thought it was a good example that new cars don’t have to be inherently uneconomical if you just drive them long enough yourself.

That is simply the target group in a house-building forum.

And: Those who have, take even more.

Yes, exactly why I have already said that by now I consider bans to be fairer than subsidies and sanctions.
Because the "rich" simply buy their way out again and again and the "poor" are left behind.
If everyone drives 120, that is fair, if everyone no longer heats with fossil fuels, that is fair.
Support should then be given (at least with free loans) to those who need it.

very nasty and truly sick way of thinking. There are people without hands and feet. They can't drive a car. Fair would be if none of us drove a car anymore.

It is huge, drives cool and economical (just under 17KWh per 100km at about 110km/h). I am currently in Paris for the weekend with it (MY SR). Stopped twice on the way for charging, each time about 30 minutes.

You cannot seriously compare a VW for 32K and the MY. Not at all. Completely different categories
