The salary therefore has to be in the region of €80,000 to roughly keep up with a simple teacher (A13) - the latter can be active anywhere for this income, whereas employees have to go into corporations or hidden champions among medium-sized companies AND usually must be able to do something special. The average academic certainly does not fall within this range.
Then the question arises: Why are so many teachers missing? As much as in corporations without needing to be able to do anything special - there should be a run on the jobs.
(The question is not rhetorical, but serious. I fancy I know the answer, but would like to hear other opinions.).
