Hello, @robi: Is the toe kick setback still not enough for the dishwasher alone? So far, (unfortunately) no one has reported that. How far forward do the Metod feet need to go? If you know it right away, you wouldn't need to clamp additional ones in front and could mount the feet accordingly. @hinzundkunzbln: Yes, you basically understood that correctly. Varioscharnier is a term from /Bosch/Siemens/Neff. This is integrated and cannot be retrofitted. With Miele, the toe kick is shaped in such a way that no corresponding hinge is necessary. With AEG, you have to research yourself.

hello Ikea expert,

quote:
"Is the plinth recess alone not enough for the dishwasher? So far (unfortunately) no one has reported that. How far forward do the METOD feet need to go? If you know right away, you wouldn't need to clamp additional ones in front and could mount the feet accordingly."

I just measured. Because of the washing machine, the plinth is recessed about 5cm from the start of the corpus (without door) to the back. I don't want to remove the plinth strip now, so you'll have to check how the distance of the feet works with the plinth snap clip.
For the Bosch dishwasher alone, about 6.5 cm would be enough. For me, also 5 cm to keep it even.

but...
considering what the kitchen costs overall, you don't need to go crazy about 6-12 euros for the feet and just add them additionally. It won't hurt
Regards robi

IKEA expert, with us the Siemens SX778D01TE didn't need any feet or any modifications at all, the machines have those little rotating things underneath. And the plinth also went on without any problems:

@juliette, you were definitely lucky to be able to attach the corpus to a straight wall on the rail. Unfortunately, not everyone is that lucky due to pipes, unevenness, etc. By the way, your kitchen looks great. Regards, robi

Thanks robi, it was also a long planning phase. But it was worth it. The wall was quite crooked and uneven (despite the new building), but we didn't have to bend any pipes around. But if I remember correctly, only the upper cabinets and tall cabinets hang on the rails. I couldn't swear to that now...

I even had to "rebuild" the cabinet next to the washing machine. I also couldn't use the rail at the bottom. No matter where the detector searched, I couldn't drill at that height. Water pipes, heating pipes, drainage pipes, and so on. I was impressed but in the end, everything somehow worked out. Regards, Robi
