The Siemens SR76T198 can be installed with a 5 cm front overhang.

Hello dear community, Can someone tell me if I can "properly" install the dishwasher with ERSÄTTARE or BEHJÄLPLIG rails? Do I have to saw the fronts myself for that or is there something ready-made from IKEA? Can someone recommend another device in case? 45 cm wide, max. 500,- EUR, brand device? Everything has been discussed here countless times, the easiest way is an IKEA dishwasher and that's it. Only devices with Vario rails fit these here, for example from Siemens SX736X03ME SN758X06TE You cannot take IKEA rails and mount them on a non-IKEA dishwasher, it does not fit.

Hello, I am currently setting up my Metod kitchen. Everything is going pretty well, except for the annoying issue with the dishwasher, like everyone else. We also have a fully integrated dishwasher from Siemens, and the Ikea employee only gave us this Vagli rail and we have a 2-part dishwasher front for the look. Our problem now is! How do we attach the fronts to the dishwasher!? It has a continuous hole in the middle, eyelets to hook in at the bottom, and something to screw in at the top. Does a Vario hinge help with that? Or can it even be retrofitted onto the machine? I have only read about devices that already had it... And milling into the front is also not really an option for us.

I registered specifically because of this thread.

For my new Ikea kitchen, I have a normal Bosch dishwasher without a Vario hinge, because I definitely wanted Timelight.
Now, of course, I am facing the problem with the front.

So far, I don’t like all the options visually.
-The Stefan method is good, but when opening, you always have a long piece of the front sticking out, which looks unattractive.
-The Bosch/Siemens folding hinge appeals to me, but you have to saw through the front. Since my Kungsbacka front is beveled at 45° on the top and bottom, it doesn’t really look good.
-The Ikea option with the “sled” doesn’t look 100% good to me either.

Now I came up with something new, but I’m not sure if it works because of the steam...
You could attach an Ikea drawer on top with a 10 cm front and then shorten a 60x80 cm front by 10 cm.
The drawer would then be installed above the dishwasher.
It would then consist of “Kungsbacka anthracite drawer front 60x10 cm” and “Maximera drawer, low 60x60 cm.”
Of course, you would also need corresponding boards on the sides, since the drawer requires a carcass. And below that, another board so you can align the dishwasher properly. I think that won’t work height-wise with the XXL appliances.

Visually, that would be great for me because the oven next to it also has a control panel with a height of 10 cm.
What do you think? Would it even work because of the steam?

That will not work. If you choose the usual 8 cm high feet from Ikea kitchens, then according to that the niche will only be 70+8 cm high .. and I don’t know of dishwashers that are 78 cm high. You also have to make sure that the dishwasher offers the possibility to be installed with a max. 8 cm base.

With an XXL machine, as a rule, a front will protrude at the top by max. 2 cm, which is absolutely acceptable.

Um, yeah, forgot to mention. I have 91cm up to the countertop (since I am a bit taller) The dishwasher is 81cm. But yeah, it could be tight...

But with the "Stefanmethode" aren't the feet supposed to be removed so that the dishwasher sits lower?
