In our rental apartment, we currently have the same combo: abstract high gloss white combined with perfect Ramsjö baseboard in matte white. It doesn't matter down there anyway that it's not high gloss.

In our Metod kitchen in the house, I have also gotten matte baseboards again combined with a high gloss front. It's cheaper and even less noticeable since the base is only 8 cm high.
