Dishwasher fronts

For "back" there is only one, half-height built-in, e.g. on a 40 cm cabinet. I did it and can only say, it is a mystery to me that this was not planned during the development of the Metod kitchen.

A divisible cutlery basket can also be placed in the upper basket. When unloading, I take the cutlery basket with me to the cupboard and unload the cutlery without bending down. If a lot of cutlery needs to go into the machine, I can also remove the basket and place it on top. With large plates, the upper basket cannot be lowered all the way down. With a cutlery drawer, breakfast plates and long-stemmed glasses usually do not fit in the upper basket. I am familiar with both in use and prefer the cutlery basket. The needs vary for everyone, so naturally opinions may differ.

I bought the SX65M042EU. It was a reasonable compromise for me between price / zeolite drying / energy consumption. Super fast, super shine, super whatever - I didn't really care about that - I don't mind if the machine runs for 3 hours or not. I don't have to sit there, and more than one load a day rarely occurs with our 3 kids.

If I understand correctly, you can use all dishwashers that are 86.5 cm high with a Vario hinge and then attach the panel directly and firmly on the dishwasher? Is that right?

I really don’t like this sliding rail solution with Behjälplig here (thanks for the pictures, Aronito). You constantly have to clean the back of the door, which sticks out at the front when opened and surely gets dirty again and again when loading the machine.

In my search, I discovered the following dishwashers that are said to have a Vario hinge and the correct height:

Siemens SX65M042EU and others in the list do not have a Vario hinge. It is best to look at the dimension drawing to see if fronts up to 800 mm height fit.

What is a normal kitchen fitter? Anyone who can read and understand the installation instructions of the dishwasher should be able to mount the front. Whether all fitters of a logistics company can do that? You can only take your chances and, if necessary, mount the front yourself.
