Accordingly, a Miele should be able to be built into the Metod kitchen without having to use this new mounting device. ...
I took a look at the Miele ...
Interesting what they are doing there, but I don't think it's that easy with Metod:
1. Miele has indeed revised the machine base so that it slopes upward backwards from the foot, allowing the tall fronts to fit, but ...
2. You already have to notch out the plinth at Faktum with 70 cm fronts so that the furniture front of the dishwasher does not hit the plinth.
3. This system is limited by the fact that there is only a limited distance between the plinth and the plane of the fronts, probably about 7 cm, which likely won’t fit with Miele.
4. The Metod plinths are PVC with a honeycomb structure inside and therefore probably cannot be shortened in height as easily as the Faktum plinths made of particleboard.
However, I cannot measure the distance between the plinth and the plane of the kitchen front in Metod to be sure whether it fits or not.
Just as an aside, it was a while ago when I had the chance to talk to a technician from AEG, who said that since AEG patented their sliding hinge, Miele has apparently asked twice if they could license it. AEG refused, and Miele apparently also stalled them at the time with their cutlery drawer ...
By the way, this is all irrelevant; whoever wants drawer fronts on their dishwasher, which is the whole point of the Metod system, cannot avoid connection rails, so it is also not attached directly to the dishwasher.
