Dishwasher fronts

I honestly don’t understand what you mean.
I have added a new picture to the album in which I have removed this flap.

You can see the rest of the dishwasher door and the entire plastic lower part with the said metal part.

Even if removing this metal part would help, which in my opinion doesn’t because the flap would have to fold forward, the plastic part from Ersättare does not fit on the door as it hits against the door itself.

The solution could be a shorter such plastic part, but Ikea does not offer that.

With the photo, it is easier to see. Does the machine close flush with the countertop at the top? If it does, I can't think of a solution for now.

.....but I have a solution.

In theory....

I will return Ersättare and get an 80 x 60 door/front from Ikea.
This will be held in place by the screws from the inside of the dishwasher, just like Ersättare but without metal rails in between and without separating grooves (no drawer look).
Then I will firmly attach a board between the two cabinets on the right and left of the dishwasher using two 45° brackets.

The problem with my attempts was that with a gap of only 2 - 4 mm the board hits the dishwasher door with the outer corners fixed at the bottom.

I solved this in my test by cutting the lower board at its entire width on the upper edge with a 45° inward slope.

The result is a complete 60 x 60 cm front on the dishwasher, a board about 8 cm underneath, and only a very fine gap as in the original.

In theory, I attached a 15 cm board to the door with Pattafix and placed a board underneath.
Stop!
Then I cut the lower board at a 45° angle and put it back under with the smallest gap.
And lo and behold, the door slides past.

Now I just have to see if the division 60 to 8 works or if at 60 cm the board hits the lower edge of the dishwasher when fully opened.
Then I might have to do 55 to 13 or something like that.
That can be cut out of an 80 cm door.

As soon as I have succeeded, I will post again and upload pictures.
Apparently, there are several who have this problem, maybe someone wants to replicate it or have it replicated.

For now, I am posting my test with two boards...

has anyone already successfully used Stefan's solution (XXLGSP ganz nach unten)? Possibly with a BSH dishwasher?

I am about to make a purchase and fear a nasty surprise...

I unfortunately cannot share any experiences, but if it doesn’t work, then you’ll just have to use Behjälplig. So the awakening wouldn’t be quite so harsh.
