the SX76... must have a VarioHinge - otherwise the front measurements would not be specified as a maximum of 800mm. Also, VarioHinge is stated directly on the Siemens homepage - so it should be correct.
Since I myself will be assembling my kitchen from 2.1., I am facing a similar problem to most here. I would like to use a VarioHinge to avoid a possible problem in the first place. But I don’t see why that has to lead to a market price of >1200 EUR in connection with zeolite drying (I had it with the old dishwasher, I want it again). As already written, you are limited to Siemens in this combo, Bosch and Neff are out of the question. I don’t need AutoOpen and bells and whistles. So I am considering taking a dishwasher without a hinge and trying the Stefan method and if that fails, just taking the Behjälplig hinge from Ikea. Hopefully it’s not that bad.
My question: If I simply set the front 2.5cm higher, then of course the dishwasher’s buttons are initially significantly deeper. But how is it with the VarioHinge and Behjälplig? It is in the nature of the thing that the dishwasher also lies significantly deeper than the front from a certain opening angle, or am I mistaken? Then both solutions would have the identical disadvantage - namely that the fingertips are covered by the front when switching on - but only from the perspective of my 2-year-old daughter.
What are your general arguments against Behjälplig - if you have any? Is it less stable than VarioHinge? Saving 600 EUR for 30 EUR at IKEA is certainly an argument...
