Siemens or Bosch dishwasher combined with Behälping rail

I am still planning and therefore have no practical experience. However, I have been told that the reason why there are no statements regarding the fittings from Ikea is that there were sometimes problems in the past and customers tried to take Ikea to court for it. It seems to be an internal policy that Ikea does not make any statements about the fittings. Since the external dimensions of Bosch/Siemens are identical or very similar to those of the Ikea devices, I will try my luck.

Has anyone already had experience with the hinges? Siemens original accessories replacement - SZ73010(00) - folding hinge for high cabinet dimensions

Hello, I have no experience with it, but if I look at the instructions, it is actually what you don't want. Namely at least 5 cm of space below the machine, where the lower part of the door panel then folds away.

I have the folding hinge for Siemens here right now. I bought it afterwards because the specialist retailer said that 80cm fronts with Siemens XXL dishwashers would not be a problem. But it is, it doesn’t work. The max front on the XXL dishwashers is 77.5cm.

So you have to cut 2.5 cm off the front cleanly, attach the folding hinge and fix the ‘new’ strip to it. But there is also a problem here. The hinge bracket is about 4.5 cm high, meaning the part on which the new strip/lower part of the front is mounted. So 2 cm of this hinge is visible underneath. Sawing/cutting is not possible. The plinth also has to be modified and cannot be hooked in because the dishwasher protrudes a bit further forward than the feet of the carcasses and the plinth attachment together.

The Vario hinge, which according to what I know cannot be retrofitted, is said to shift a front by only 1.5 cm when opening. So that wouldn’t be enough.

However, there is a list from Siemens online where you can check which front height in combination with plinth height and XXL or non-XXL dishwasher would fit which method. I recently stumbled upon it by chance, didn’t save it and can’t find it right now otherwise I would post the link...

Behjälplig wasn’t available, so no experience with it. I would like to try it once in the Ikea house to see how it ‘feels’ when opening and closing. Maybe that is a possibility if the impression is high-quality enough and allows countless openings because the dishwasher doors are somewhat susceptible to warping. Only the furniture front stabilizes them sufficiently, but I don’t really see that effect yet with the Behjälplig. Nobody has it??

Read a bit further up. I bought BEHJÄLPLIG from the online shop last week. In the end, I didn't care about the shipping cost. I just wanted to make progress. In the gallery, you can see that it works. I have an XXL dishwasher from Neff, isn't it even identical to Bosch and Siemens???? Regards

Yes, of course, I have read it, otherwise I wouldn't have posted anything. It is clear that it works, but the question in my text is HOW it works. Not technically in terms of blueprint, but does it function satisfactorily or does it rattle or get stuck somewhere because of who knows what. As I wrote. Can one imagine using it daily for the next few years or rather not...

So I did it with BEHJÄLPLIG, without folding hinges or anything like that. In my opinion, it will last for years. The only thing that might be noticeable: take a look at my picture. Since it is an XXL machine, I couldn't manage with 40/20/20 cm fronts. I installed a 10 cm panel above the 40 cm base cabinet. This is fixed in place, and the gap between this and the movable 40 cm front is slightly larger than normal. But it couldn't be done otherwise, since the mechanism, which pushes the entire front upwards when the door is folded down, engages a bit late, so the gap had to be slightly larger than normal. However, this is not noticeable at all, and I am very satisfied with the BEHJÄLPLIG. Regards
