Many thanks for the quick and clear feedback and information.

One way or another, we will have to buy the dishwasher this week, because in less than 2 weeks the new kitchen will be delivered (we are already dreading the endless number of boxes) and it would really be suboptimal if only the dishwasher was missing at that point.

Great that you are so lucky with your outlet dishwasher bargain. However, for weeks we have been dealing with nothing but dishwashers in all variations on various review platforms and in large appliance stores, because our by now almost antique Miele device has various defects and repairs are not worthwhile. Unfortunately, the Ikea appliances have never really received particularly good reviews, and some owners have made corresponding criticisms. Considering that the identical models of the appliances sold at IKEA (Whirlpool-Bauknecht or Electrolux-AEG) are cheaper, we decided against the IKEA dishwashers.

In fact, however, we have included the built-in oven, the ceramic cooktop and the extractor hood there in our kitchen order.

That is exactly our question, whether we could install, for example, the AMICA dishwasher EGSP 64511V or EGSP 64501V with these Behjälplig hinges in our kitchen. The height for both is 816 mm (60), and since the IKEA countertop is 880 mm high, I would think that the 4 mm difference is not a problem, or am I thinking wrong (math was never my strength).

We had also considered this option, but would much prefer a completely uniform front on the kitchen unit with the dishwasher, so only large uniform cabinet doors below.

Many thanks for the support!

Thank you very much for the quick and clear feedback and information.

Thank you for that, then for our preferences (with the cutlery drawer and height-adjustable upper baskets) we have the two AEG appliances left:
AEG F 88700VI 1P or AEG FAV2.0VI1P

Originally, we had chosen two devices from the company AMICA, AMICA EGSP 64511V or AMICA EGSP 64501V.
Both are specified with a height of 816 mm (60). If we also had the sliding hinge BEHJÄLPLIG, the blonde in me would say that with the difference of only 4 mm it should work. Or did I think wrong again?

I am really curious where this drama will end, many heartfelt thanks for your support!

Hello,
BEHJÄLPLIG is now being offered again in Austria, it might also come back to Germany.
The problem with BEHJÄLPLIG is, on the one hand, that for the dishwasher to be installed, the attachment of the front must be provided by two screws on each side of the door. This is less and less the case. On the other hand, there can be problems with devices that are 81.5 cm high because when the door is opened, the front takes up a very large distance from the appliance door and can therefore rub on top. This leads to popping out of the mounts or breaking them. In short, I would avoid BEHJÄLPLIG if at all possible.

I have practically not read anything about the quality of Amica so far. This could be due to a very low market share or there is little to complain about. The devices come from Poland. As long as the majority votes for the current government, I would not support Polish products.

Who hasn’t had the problem with a dishwasher that, for example, some glasses were too tall and just didn’t fit in the machine anymore? A cutlery drawer reduces the height even more. That is why I would always choose a large-capacity dishwasher (XXL) if it fits in the kitchen.

If one does not want to take a device from IKEA because there are some bad reports on the washing and drying performance, I do not know why one should take a device from the same manufacturer labeled AEG.

Ideal would be a BSH large-capacity dishwasher with Vario hinge or an XXL from Miele. However, these do not fit into the price range if it must have a cutlery drawer.

An alternative is a tall dishwasher where the front is mounted protruding at the top. However, then the kitchen plinth must be set to 9 cm.

Many thanks for the quick and clear feedback and information.

Thank you for that, then with our requirements (with the cutlery drawer and height-adjustable upper basket), only the two AEG devices remain for us:
AEG F 88700VI 1P or AEG FAV2.0VI1P

Originally, we had chosen two devices from the company AMICA, AMICA EGSP 64511V or AMICA EGSP 64501V. Both are specified with a height of 816 mm (60). If we then also had the sliding hinge BEHJÄLPLIG, the blonde in me would say that with a difference of only 4 mm, it should work. Or am I wrong again? ADDENDUM, I just read the post from the IKEA expert. Therefore, I took a step back from the AMICA / BEHJÄLPLIG combination again.

In the meantime, I was at the big Saturn in downtown Hamburg and apparently found the only salesperson for large electrical appliances who has dealt intensively with this problem and seems to have understood it (at least it appears so). If you exclude the XXL devices using Behjälplig, there are only 2 Siemens devices (and the identical Bosch siblings) that come factory-equipped with such a hinge. These are of course offered with a relatively high MSRP, but they do offer the Zeolith drying, which naturally has a positive effect on energy costs. One has an MSRP of €1,699, the other €1,099; which, however, could be obtained cheaper through the price guarantee.
Apparently, the topic of fully integrated dishwashers, fronts, and mounting has been the most exciting and extensive since the introduction of Metod (already over 30 pages), so I will provide the device types later, as I do not have the documents with me right now.

By the way, a great site here, I am glad to have come across it!

We installed the dishwasher (Neff S52L60X0EU) over the weekend. The base was screwed to 9cm, the dishwasher almost recessed downward, front left to protrude 2.5cm at the top – it worked perfectly. What bothers me a bit about the new XXL machines from BSH: The upper basket is mounted differently than on older XL dishwashers. It sits lower and can only be adjusted further down. This means you have to be a bit crafty to fit a baking tray in. In the old models, you could place a baking tray almost upright because the upper basket was mounted a bit higher.
