Dishwasher fronts

Today I installed a Siemens XXL dishwasher using "Stefan's method." It works perfectly and without any fuss! The maximum front height of the dishwasher is actually 775mm. When the dishwasher is turned all the way down, you attach the front so that it protrudes 25mm at the top, and this also works with the 80cm front. The small overhang does not bother. To brace it, it’s best to use two old shelves or slats. About 3cm fit underneath mine. Regards!

to make sure once again after reading this thread. I have a Bosch SMV68M90EU (Bosch fully integrated standard size). Can I put a standard 80cm Metod front on the machine using Behjälplig? Thank you very much for your help.

A completely different approach: what speaks against placing any built-in dishwasher with standard dimensions in the niche and screwing the door panel to the dishwasher door, but not in a way that the dishwasher stands elevated, rather as low as possible – the front panel would then protrude quite a bit over the control panel at the top, but that would be bearable. At the bottom, the door panel should then not protrude so much that the door can no longer swing open, right?

Hello, there is nothing against it. This is what I have called the Stefan method because it was first described here by a Stefan.

Now I just had another thought that could speak against it. The successful implementation of the method has already been described here, so it would be nice if someone could explain why it still works. My concern: If the maximum front height according to the manufacturer is 777 mm, then I have to install the machine 25 mm deeper and let the front protrude 25 mm. This means there is a 25 mm gap between the dishwasher and the countertop, which I can fill with a board. This reduces the niche height from 880 mm to 855 mm. However, the manufacturer specifies a minimum niche height of 865 mm. That would mean the dishwasher cannot be lowered deep enough to mount the door with sufficient overhang. So why does it still work according to the report??
