You can also build a house without detailed planning if all trades work together. But with your background, rather doubtful.

I am not legally knowledgeable about this, so with such a delicate situation, I would have every single step legally clarified by a lawyer.

Not that you might (un)knowingly violate any agreements and in the end the settlement becomes void. Completely without financial compensation from the GUs....
Just a feeling based on the touched-upon settlement details, like that you are not allowed to talk to the subs about certain topics...

But sure, in your place and with the history involved, I would also insist on the execution planning. But what to do if the GU ultimately doesn’t seem to care?

I’m still keeping my fingers crossed that it all turns out reasonably well in the end!

Thanks for keeping your fingers crossed. The BU doesn’t seem to care at all. My site manager wants to reduce the next invoice if nothing comes by then. But then I could imagine that he won’t continue building again. It’s all pretty tricky. Yesterday it also came out that the shell construction company apparently has no registration for masonry and concrete work, I had written that in a new thread.

Why exactly do you need the execution plan? As long as construction continues properly, I would strictly avoid new conflicts with the [BU]. Also with the shell construction company... is this company even still working on the site? Don’t dwell on things from the past.

We need the execution planning because too many errors occur and there are constant discussions about walls, doors, solid or drywall construction. It is a semi-detached house (or is supposed to become one), the wall between the two houses is solid in the planning. On the upper floor, the wall was already fully built and has now been partially removed again (between the two bathrooms) because the BU on site found that the staircase is under this wall and the wall is too heavy for it and now drywall is supposed to be installed there, which in my opinion is not acceptable, especially because of the sound insulation.

The shell builders will come back after the roof structure is erected. Gable sides still need to be built up, the dormers, various missing walls on the upper floor, bricked-up door openings must be restored, and numerous defects in the basement and ground floor need to be remedied.
