That has happened to me before as well; I will quote – each time in excerpts – from my inquiry to the admin:
I do not conduct correspondence about deleting content.
As AdminMod, this is how I handle it:
- Discussions / justifications
I don’t even start those, as they would mostly be endless;
- but I do give a very active member a hint about WHAT they did wrong – that helps to avoid it in the future.
[a quote of my unpublished post followed]
There is nothing to object to about this post. As I said, I don’t know why it is gone.
Then I can repost it.
Thanks for the reply.
I then simply reposted the relevant post, and it remained there. Every admin has their own stance on this. I know some admin colleagues from forums on various topics: as people, they are all just as individually different as in real life as well. And ultimately, it is largely due to such cultural differences that the question to me, whether I wanted to moderate here, has remained unanswered until now. Elsewhere I was able to answer this promptly and have been actively involved there ever since.
