The scaffolding situation is quite different. It was agreed that we would only pay for the assembly and disassembly of the scaffolding, and that the scaffolding would remain in place until the end of the overall construction period, with no mention ever made that this arrangement was tied to a further contract. I always said that I would obtain additional quotes in order to be able to finish building with the remaining capital, since the quotes I had received were approximately €60,000 over budget. However, after commissioning the masonry work, he now said that he will not allow the scaffolding to be used by third parties and will dismantle it again.

1) is cancelled because there is no interest on either side in further collaboration. Otherwise, I am negotiating with several companies. Yesterday I had an appointment for heating/plumbing, which sounded quite good. He did say that the house is huge, per semi-detached house, but can be completed with the remaining money. I also have a good offer for windows/doors/drywall and a new shell construction company for the remaining work could start as soon as the scaffolding is gone; they bring their own.

And the layman construction continues by gut feeling. Learning curve? Are you now fully involved in the role of the builder? I remember that this is not actually your construction but your children’s?!

Yes, I am. And [Nasenfaktor] is nonsense, there is still a building consultant. "Learning curve" seems to be establishing itself as the new favorite word here. Do you have a better suggestion?
