Construction company halts work despite overpayment

I foolishly recommended this construction company to my children and therefore feel responsible.

That on top of everything else! No wonder you're seeking revenge. Please don't misunderstand, you will never see the money again even if you possibly win your case. But one thing I must admit to you, judging by the few photos, the construction work is really a mess.

I agree with guckguck2 and add: What is your goal here? What is the goal of the builders (your children + spouse/girlfriend)?

I had already written on Sunday: The owners of the semi-detached house are on the one hand my daughter with her family (currently on parental leave) and on the other hand my son with his girlfriend.

Yes, I stumbled over this sentence several times because nothing about sons, daughters, or semi-detached houses ever came up. There was no connection for me, but also no reason to dwell on it. I find this question very good and justified!

Everyone here wants to help you. Being snappy and defiant is completely out of place. Here you get opinions from outsiders. You can accept them or not. But you also have to accept that you will not only get pity but also opposing opinions.

I stand by this: put an end to it all. Retribution only burns your or your money. In the end, no one builds on it anymore. Pull the emergency brake, sell the property and take a few years to breathe.

What is lost is ONLY money. It comes and goes. Even if it is annoying. Health and family are more important than a few numbers.

You are right about that. But when it comes to this matter, I only think of my family. My husband was against leaving all our money for the house construction to the two oldest (interest-free loan). I was able to convince him to do it anyway. And now we have the mess.

Instead of repeating yourself, you could simply answer the questions directed at you? I think that is more productive...
