: Thanks for your sympathy. I had an appointment today at the construction site with the managing director of a construction company that was recommended to me. He said he has seen a lot, but nothing like this. There is already verdigris on the interior walls, the waterproof basement is wet, the construction site unsecured, and a crack in the concrete ceiling on the ground floor. He didn't give me much hope for continuing construction. If anything, first save what can still be saved and renovate. The damage amount is already at least €130,000, possibly even higher if, for example, the waterproof basement is not sealed or the concrete ceiling continues to crack. Additional costs for the new company are not included.
You're welcome. (Even if it doesn't really help you).
But, even if €130k is a lot of money, it's still, absolutely speaking, within the "doable" range. €32,500 per person.
Maybe you can still get some money back if you sell the property? I mean, the market is pretty good for sellers right now... If you can get a bit more out of it, that reduces the total sum even further.
