Has anyone recently (1-2 months) submitted an informal application for an extension of the BAFA deadline for a new building by another 12 months and received confirmation?

I wanted to have this done through my contracting company and was told that the last applications for new buildings were all rejected and only approved for existing buildings. But you keep reading here about successful extensions?!

Yes, submitted about a month ago via the online form and received confirmation of the extension by letter a few days ago.

At first, I hadn’t heard anything and then called once, and the letter arrived quite shortly afterwards.
Just yesterday, I received another confirmation, apparently automated.

The application was submitted by the plumbing company in mid-December 2020, shortly before the "old" BAFA funding expired. According to the company, BAFA's confirmation came at the end of January 2021. So we would now have until the end of January 2022 to implement it and then upload all documents within 6 months.

However, due to current delays, this will only work narrowly or not at all, so I would like to have it extended.

how did you submit the letter for the extension? Did you create an informal letter in Word and then submit it via BAFA's "Upload Center"? Or the classic way by mail?

I'm currently considering whether I should possibly get the login details and do it briefly myself :rolleyes:

Simply informally via the online contact form. It was indeed super slow, but eventually it went through.
