You don't necessarily have to be sure yet which ones you will install (you can still make a change later), but you must already specify a brand/model in the online application and also have an offer available whose costs you can indicate; that is the maximum amount that will then be accepted as the funding sum.

If necessary, I'll just give a fictitious price, hoping that the offer will not be requested by the BAFA. In that case, I can withdraw the application.

BAFA does not request the offers. It is sufficient to fill out the application and upload the annual performance factor calculation.

Good morning,

I just wanted to quickly ask if there could be any risks if we apply for the BAFA now. We have offers for heating and geothermal drilling. However, we plan to start construction only in 2022 (BAFA + extension should be possible). If for some reason we do not build, can the BAFA application be revoked? What if it is then not compatible with the new BEG and we might only be entitled to the BAFA? Does it make more sense to wait for the BEG subsidies starting in July? I am just worried that by applying for BAFA we might commit ourselves to one subsidy and potentially lose about €20,000 in KFW subsidies.

Thanks and best regards

As far as I know, it can be withdrawn. I submitted our application last week as a precaution. On the other hand... if you only want to build in 2022 anyway, you will probably come out similarly without BAFA and with the new funding according to everything one hears. However, you then have to watch out for the pitfall of project start = contract signing, which apparently comes with the new funding.

The BAFA funding "Heating with Renewable Energies" is not compatible with the new BEG WG (from 01.07.2021). Either apply for BAFA now (2020) and apply for KfW 153 by 30.06.2021, or wait for the new BEG WG.

I believe I have read that you do not have to use an applied-for BAFA funding and can still apply for the new BEG WG via KfW from 01.07.2021. Unfortunately, I do not know this for sure.

On YouTube, on the channel "Fertighauswissen 2 Go," you can find a few days old video where everything is explained in great detail. The title of the video is "Die neue BEG 2021 - ersetzt KfW und BAFA Förderung !". You can definitely find it via Google.
