Maybe I'm not seeing this clearly or mixing something up, but my current understanding is that only those who already have "everything up and running" should hurry until 12/31/20. For those who anyway plan to start construction only next year, it would rather be more worthwhile (partly higher funding amounts) to take advantage of the new federal funding BEG from 07/01/2021?! However, it is unfortunate for those who are dependent on funding in the meantime until 06/30/2021. Do I understand this correctly so far?

It's unfortunate if you depend on subsidies at all. Every construction should work well or be financially viable even without subsidies ;-)

That is true on one hand, but on the other hand certainly not uncommon.

In fact, I expressed myself poorly and rather meant the timing of the start of the measures themselves, so that the subsidies would then be lost within the mentioned timeframe. The latter because you have to apply for the subsidies before starting the measures, at least that is my understanding so far.

You are mixing something up.

No. That’s not true. The subsidies from this year are generally higher than the future ones.

Example KfW 55:

Until 30.06.2021 (provided BAfA application was submitted by 31.12.2020):
Repayment grant KfW 153: 120,000 EUR x 15% = 18,000 EUR
BAfA subsidy: 30,000 EUR x 35% = 10,500 EUR
Total subsidy: 28,500 EUR

From 01.07.2021, provided EE or NH package is fulfilled:

Repayment grant KfW 153: 150,000 EUR x 17.5% = 26,250 EUR
BAfA subsidy: 0 EUR
Total subsidy: 26,250 EUR

Example KfW 40:

Until 30.06.2021 (provided BAfA application was submitted by 31.12.2020):
Repayment grant KfW 153: 120,000 EUR x 20% = 24,000 EUR
BAfA subsidy: 30,000 EUR x 35% = 10,500 EUR
Total subsidy: 34,500 EUR

From 01.07.2021, provided EE or NH package is fulfilled:

Repayment grant KfW 153: 150,000 EUR x 22.5% = 33,750 EUR
BAfA subsidy: 0 EUR
Total subsidy: 33,750 EUR

Example KfW 40 Plus:

Until 30.06.2021 (provided BAfA application was submitted by 31.12.2020):
Repayment grant KfW 153: 120,000 EUR x 25% = 30,000 EUR
BAfA subsidy: 30,000 EUR x 35% = 10,500 EUR
Total subsidy: 40,500 EUR

From 01.07.2021, provided EE or NH package is fulfilled:

Repayment grant KfW 153: 150,000 EUR x 25% = 37,500 EUR
BAfA subsidy: 0 EUR
Total subsidy: 37,500 EUR

By the way: The higher the eligible costs for the heating system, the greater the advantage of the old subsidy.

Correct, if no BAfA application was submitted this year. Then you only get the 18,000 EUR, 24,000 EUR or 30,000 EUR from the KfW-153 program.

Therefore, it has already been advised here several times to submit a BAfA application by the end of the year to keep all options open in 2021.

Only as a supplement to :

As of now, there is apparently only a maximum loan amount of €120,000 for KfW 55 and KfW 40, and accordingly only the maximum 17.5% or 22.5%.
This makes the current subsidy look even better in the consideration.

Oh, I didn’t know that :) I also spoke with our general contractor yesterday, the invoices then also go directly from him to BAFA. The specialist contractor declaration must be submitted after the heating system is completed. I think the heating installer will then sign and issue it for you. I will now submit the application as you did and hope that it goes through the same way as with you. Did you change the heat pump again for the application or did it remain the same?
