So far, I have only received an interim update stating once again that a further extension of the approval period in this funding program is not planned. Nevertheless, the case is being reviewed and patience is requested because there are currently an enormous number of inquiries. I just mentioned it in the construction costs thread: I think there are currently many such inquiries and internally at the funding agency it is leading to a fundamental decision: Either everyone will be granted the second extension or it will be denied to everyone. Interesting detail: In the current BEG-M guideline for residential buildings, approval periods are directly 24 months and can be extended once by another 24 months. So there, you have up to 4 years. Why were the granted periods doubled there? If the general shortages of components and skilled workers are to be taken into account there, that would be an argument to retroactively apply this to the old funding as well. Because unlike someone who orders a heat pump today, at the end of 2020 no one could have had the slightest idea that such problems would ever occur.
