Our construction project is being delayed quite late, possibly into next year, due to various issues. The plot has been purchased and the house contract was signed in August last year. Unfortunately, I did not apply for the BAFA heat pump subsidy in December. Is there still a possibility for a "retroactive application" since the house contract was still last year?

Additional question: Am I right in seeing that we have the worst possible subsidy starting situation? Contract signed before 2021 --> old KFW without higher repayment subsidy + missed BAFA application? :(

Thanks, that was not clear to me until now either. That means if it drags on until 2022 and the financing cannot be completed, I will not have the opportunity to apply for KFW :(

Thank you for your answer. But exactly that is not possible, since the contract was signed before 01.01.2021. Otherwise, I would of course try to postpone the KFW application to 01.07. (Planned is KFW40+ including a small granny flat)
