Attention opinion: On the BAFA website it says: I would not interpret this as a must. It is more a recommendation that you should indicate the costs based on cost estimates. In the list of necessary documents (evidence), there is nothing about offers but: - Confirmation of truthful information (form to be sent with the funding notice) - Invoice documents of the heat generator or confirmation from the builder - Specialist contractor declaration For the installation of brine/water heat pumps with ground probe drilling, the following must also be submitted: - Drilling certificate - Liability-independent insurance And then comes the killer sentence: BAFA reserves the right to request further documents in individual cases. Which these might be – no information... But I assume that they simply orient themselves based on the actual costs and that’s it. They don’t have time to check everything. Except if, of course, a single heat pump reaches the full 50,000 EUR limit and the invoice has only one item...

I think I’ll read that again. So you mean it might be possible to estimate the costs qualified and perhaps rather conservatively together with an energy consultant and architect and then state these without an offer? The money is only paid out after submission and review of the actual invoice anyway? So one simply starts the application process pro forma to secure participation. If it doesn’t work out, it just doesn’t work out. But better than not having tried at all...?

This is how I interpret the information from the BAFA leaflet, the checklist, and the page, yes. I had also uploaded an incorrect offer when submitting the application and then indicated a correction via the contact form without sending a new offer.... The corrected costs were then taken into account in the grant notice...

How much time passed between the contact form and the grant notice?

Good, then we will do it that way. We have no other choice anyway. And the BAFA shouldn't care about offers in advance as mentioned. BAFA ultimately only funds based on verifiable invoices. The only one who can shoot themselves in the foot with, for example, costs declared too low is the client themselves.

Phew, I guess about four weeks. I don't remember exactly because I didn't receive a confirmation email for my contact form message.
