BAFA funding tips

Is there even an air source heat pump that is subsidized by Bafa? I also find the list confusing.

As I said, the THZ 504 was subsidized, my acquaintance said she received the money recently.

But that is also an all-in-one device with ventilation. Interestingly, I can't find the COP value on the homepage?!

My heating technician said no air-water heat pump would achieve that value - I hardly believe that. That's why I would be interested to know who else has already received funding with which system.

We received a first response only 6 months after the application was submitted and an approval only 10 months after the application. The point of contention was whether the application was really submitted before the project started. I can only advise every builder not to sign a construction contract before the BAFA application has been submitted, even if the construction company claims that this is not a problem.

We have not submitted it yet. For us, it only starts in March, which means no move-in before September. If it is like that with the application, the whole thing is quite a gamble, because you don't know how long it will take until approval. If it takes a long time, fine; if short, that could be a problem. After the application is approved, the system must be installed within 9 months according to BAFA. If BAFA approves it within 1-2 months (which is unknown), and the construction time is 6 months, you have a total of 8 months from the application date. If you submit the application before the contract, construction must start soon to avoid exceeding the 9 months. That is not possible with any general contractor we have spoken to; all have at least a 6-month waiting time after signing. Above all, according to BAFA, a project-related offer and a separate calculation of the annual performance factor must also be submitted. For systems with improved system efficiency, a simulation of the system's annual performance factor must be submitted. These things were not available from anyone before signing.

We have had a lot of calculations done in the last 2 weeks. For our construction project, there is no suitable LW WP with indoor installation that meets the requirements. So unfortunately, we have to give up on the funding.
