So the dimensions are basically fine, I have a pretty good overview, the sofa for example is 2m x 3m with me

I'm not saying it doesn't fit but I find it disproportionate. Your 3m sofa even extended beyond the opposite wall. When you have a small apartment, sometimes that's just how it is, but I wouldn't build like that. But everyone can do as they please.

I like your last suggestion with the swapped living room and kitchen much better. If the staircase would work the other way around, you could set the wall between the kitchen and hallway further to the right.
Or try with a different staircase.

Ok, let's please try to optimize the red area in whatever way makes the most sense. We would like to leave the upper area as it is. I also think the idea with the kitchen above and living area below is a good alternative...

You can't do much about that.
Give up the 2nd WC
Move the building services up
Living, dining, cooking has a few sqm more
Swap cooking and living

If you don't want to give up the 2nd WC, move the parent room towards the garden and the WC next to the bathroom. It shouldn't change much in terms of costs

Does the sofa fit

At the moment, we have 240cm width x 200cm depth. The sofa inserted there is 280cm width x 185cm depth. Depth is not the problem there anyway.

I also think the idea of having the kitchen upstairs and the living area downstairs is a good alternative...

But no one had that idea and it would also be counterproductive .. a floor every time you want to grill? In the new version .. how wide is the upper kitchen wall there? Is that enough for you? It corresponds more to a two-line kitchen.
