Please keep the suspense and take a look at a bold, interesting floor plan of a modern Swedish (wood) house of a somewhat different kind – just as inspiration for the floor plan, not the construction method. It covers 136 sqm. Searching for: Beautiful Living – Modern Swedish House or more pictures directly from the architects: bornstein lyckefors SPÄCKHUGGAREN It won the Houses Award there.

The pantry would be far too small for all the house technology... Lose the dressing room, then the closets still have to go somewhere... Fine in the past, but who does that in 2019 except with the children???

Yes, people still do that. 7 sqm room, which is very cramped for 2.4 sqm of floor space. Dressing rooms or closets are included in 140 sqm with 2 children's rooms

Why is it important to you to have the building services on the ground floor?

The technology would not be included there, only the washing machine. The technology remains upstairs. As I said, I don't think the current floor plan is bad - only the rooms are too tight for me. Everything so cramped. But not uninhabitable. So why not?! This one was created incidentally while tinkering. Not really an improvement but sometimes you see a detail you like. Small technical room downstairs - utility room still upstairs. Of course, you could also swap them. Floor area should be roughly the same. (Orientation reversed - sorry) One goal was a short route from the parking lot to the front door and kitchen. However, spaciousness doesn't come into the house like this either. It's just too much downstairs.

Katja, many thanks also for your work!

We have now decided on our version and are waiting to see if our architect will optimize something there. All your variants & suggestions have their justification, but they just don't fit us!

Housekeeping room upstairs, that's not us! Everyone just has their own ideas!

Nevertheless, we have already incorporated one thing or another into our design, thanks also to everyone who helped us move forward!
