That now somewhat depends on what one understands by "floor plan." In the case of "floor plan GTI 16V with electrically adjustable caravan mirrors," Karsten is probably out. But people who prefer less fuss often ask, "Hey Karsten, show us your floor plan sometime."

Oh yes... there was something... I have to think of a thread where the husband also said something. If I recall correctly, the core was one of the wrong priorities, that a half double garage was to be built within the building line. The situation where the OP basically says, "but my wife, Ilsebill, ..." is already a pretty popular running gag...

In my perception, there are fewer bad jokes starting with "a man goes to the doctor" than there are threads here where someone is still obviously about 300 posts away from the actual finale, thinking if we just show him the one single door swing that still needs to be reversed, then the dream house would be ready for construction.

Of course, one can have such a wish—but in some cases, one would have to be a cynic (or even a sadist) to fulfill this wish. At times it would simply be malicious to pat someone on the shoulder just because they mistakenly assume they are near the finish line. The truer friend is the one who gives them a reality check.

Which post do you mean? #145 is not a plan and neither is #245!

And regarding the earthworks, here are two recent photos (January) of our property...

I assume the topsoil has been removed. Or do you already have a flat compacted surface where the foundation slab can be poured? According to the plan, since you are building without a basement, one side of the site has to be raised and the other side excavated. Has all that already been done?

Someone has already done quite a bit of digging there.

Yes, the topsoil was removed.

We don't necessarily have to go higher at the top right (where the fir tree is)!

In the later garden area, further down, there is still some of the piled-up topsoil, so currently we have a fairly level surface.

The rest was removed down to the natural ground including the piled-up topsoil.

Since our neighbors (the bungalow) did not adopt the height of the street like the houses behind, we are now forced to adopt their height if we want to position the carport at their side (requirement max. 3m terrain/carport height) otherwise only with the neighbor's approval.
