Then the property remains the bottleneck of the mobility concept, or is there also such a thing for the driveway?

However, the majority of homeowners are more comparable to Karsten when he had his first house: not yet realizing that you will build again later. And usually also not perceiving that this is the trend. I dare to claim that at least those homeowners who are clearly under 40 are making the considerations about an old-age bedroom in the currently planned house completely in vain.

Especially since stairlifts for a straight indoor staircase really don't cost the earth anymore. Certainly not so much as to bend over backwards to live downstairs in old age.

There are stairlifts for indoors, [Blattformlifte] for outdoors.
[Blattformlifte] cost considerably more than an indoor stairlift. However, they can transport walkers, wheelchairs, and groceries.
There are even elevators that can be retrofitted from the outside.

Why then don’t you want to use Katja’s adjustments as a basis ... you are supposed to explain that. Because you want your basic concept to be adhered to.

Oh guys, I only asked if the area hallway, stairs, utility room, and guest room in my proposal could still be optimized! It felt like an already acceptable result (ours) had been reached which could certainly still be optimized, and then everything is completely discarded and a completely different proposal is rehashed here. At this rate, I/we won't be finished until 2055! I do find Katja's variant partly good, which I have already said about many other partial variants here. In the end, however, our personal preferences have to fit as well, and in Katja's variant, I don't find the utility room upstairs suitable for us, and I had also sketched the bathroom.

I think you're having a bit of trouble assessing the connections of a floor plan. You can't just change a straight staircase in an existing floor plan to a quarter-turn staircase and leave the rest of the floor plan the same.

"Your" floor plan has a few crutches that, for example, don't work for me. They were pointed out to you. I think several here feel the same way, which is why hardly anyone is tinkering with it. In her design, Katja eliminated, I believe, every crutch. But somehow you hardly reveal what you don't like and prefer your own "optimized" version. You are stuck. That's my impression.
