Optimization in old age would include a stairlift moped from the ADAC magazine. A utility room on the upper floor is, from my point of view, a current fad and only serves the present convenience. Better would be a laundry chute if you absolutely need something like that.
No, I see it differently, since we won’t have a basement: Where is the wardrobe? Right: On the first floor; Where is the bedroom? Right, on the first floor. On the first floor I get dressed and undressed. Why on earth would I want the laundry on the ground floor? Well, movement in old age isn’t bad either. And about the stairlift: Guess why I definitely want a straight staircase (with a power outlet).... (you really never know, right?).
